1950s Maton Premier EG-45A Sunburst

A great player from Melbourne guitar legends, Maton!

This gorgeous example is a single pickup version of the EG-45A, which dates to sometime in the late 1950s. These typically featured either a maple or walnut body construction, alongside a single pickup and volume control. This one has had an overhaul by Cargill Guitars, including a refinish, refret, neck set, rewound pickup, and touched up electronics. However, the original essence and presentation of these models is still on show. This example absolutely sings acoustically and plugged in, with a great level of responsiveness. 

Cosmetic condition is okay with the expected wear, scratches and dings for one of these old Matons. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a hard case.
