1962 Maton Premier 45A Sunburst

A great sounding, Australian made archtop!

Predominantly known for their manufacture of acoustic guitars right here in Melbourne, Maton also have an extensive history of making excellent electric guitars. This particular example dating to 1962 is one of their electric archtop offerings. Originally produced in 1952, the Premier 45A boasts a Canadian spruce top with maple back and sides. This example is also rounded out with a great sounding pair of Moody Tri-Sonic pickups. 

Sent back to the Maton factory in the year 2000, this Premier 45A has had a complete overhaul with a nitro-refinish, upgraded parts, and a re-decaled headstock. The current replacement tuners on this example are a set of '60s Grover 'Dome Face' tuners with celluloid buttons. A great playing and sounding example that presents beautifully!

Cosmetic condition is good with minor wear present throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes a hard case.
