1972 Morris W-40 Dreadnought Spruce

A cool early '70s Martin-clone from the Terada factory!

Morris made a variety of Martin clones throughout the '70s, with this particular example dating to 1972. Manufactured in the Terada factory, this particular model was designed to somewhat replicate the design of a D-35. These examples features a laminate spruce top with laminated rosewood back and sides. However, these examples were two-ply laminate, which makes for a much more tonally complex response. 

Loud and authoritative with no shortage of low end, this example excels with strumming and any single note picking. 

Some binding is missing on the lower base side of the instrument, as well as a stable headstock crack repair. A body ding is present on the lower side, however appears stable.  Truss rod is almost maxed out, so this example is playing with a medium action, making for a great sounding acoustic for cowboy chords. 

Cosmetic condition is reasonable for its age, with only a handful of dings found on the top, back, and neck. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a soft shell case.
