The Story

A fascinating model all the way from the land of the rising sun!

A cursory search of the interwebs doesn't dredge up a tonne of information on this particular brand of guitars. There's some resources inferring that the manufacturer in question was Maruha Gakki, who also manufactured guitars under the brand names 'Maruha' and 'Hashimoto'. Regardless, this example is a gorgeous dreadnought with an exceptionally full tone. Finished in a brown sunburst, this example appears to feature a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Abalone inlays are present as well as Grover tuning machines which have some wonderful patina. Neck profile is a 'V' shape, which feels wonderful in hand. With plenty of volume and low end, this one fulfils all the elements we look for when playing a dreadnought acoustic.

Cosmetic condition is okay for its age with some wear present throughout in the form of minor dings and scratches. There appears to be a blotch/finish discolouration by the bass side of the soundhole. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a hardcase.
