1980s Fender MIJ ST57-55 '57 Stratocaster Vintage White

A cool late '80s-made reissue from Fender Japan!

It's no secret that Fender Japan has been putting out quality instruments for a number of years, with this example dating approximately to the late '80s being no exception. Usually dated by a serial number (which is no longer there), the lettering and 'FENDER' stamped backplate appear to indicate late 1980s. The ST57-55 was the Fender Japan equivalent of a '57 spec Stratocaster, featuring a maple board with oval neck profile and small headstock. This example appears to have had a new tortoiseshell guard fitted, which nicely compliment the off-white colour of the body. A fun MIJ Stratocaster!

Cosmetic condition is okay with noticeable play wear and dings present. The white finish has encountered some fading, and theres some lacquer separation in a spot on the fretboard and by the logo on the headstock. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes a Squier-branded gig bag.
