1980s Squier Standard Stratocaster Black

A fun MIJ '80s Squier with some serious firepower under the pickguard!

Perhaps not as revered as the earlier JV-series, these E-serial Squiers punch well above what they were originally intended as. This particular example in black features a basswood body in combination with a maple neck. Features a e-serial on the headstock and would have likely been manufactured between 1984 and 1988 in Japan. The original pickups have been replaced and now feature a beautiful sounding set of Lollar Blonde flat-pole Stratocaster pickups (originals included). The original pots and 5-way switch appear to be present. The result is a beautiful bell-like Stratocaster with plenty of clarity and articulation. This example also retains its original Gotoh-made tuners. What a cool Squier!

Cosmetic condition is fair with noticeable play wear present throughout, as well as dings present to the body. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes an aftermarket leather gig bag and original pickups.
