1991 Dobro Hound Dog Sunburst

We love an old resonator, and this one has character for days!

Despite the vintage appearance, this particular instrument based off similar serial number configurations and a pen marked date in the inner body actually indicate a production year of 1991! Produced by OMI, this model was made in the US and predates the Gibson acquisition. Finished in sunburst, this example features a laminate maple body construction in combination with a spider bridge resonating cone. This example is a round neck and appears to have had a new nut added with some additional height to make it more suitable for slide playing. An LR Baggs pickup is mounted internally with the output jack found at the strap pin. A fun player with vintage charm and mojo!

Cosmetic condition is reasonable with defined play wear present throughout. There is staining to the fretboard. Hardware and electronics are fully functional, and plays with a high action for slide. Includes a hard-case.
