The late '90s in a box!
Nu Metal was beginning to become mainstream, JNCO jeans were in, and frosted tips were in their infancy. Despite all this noise, the Boss XT-2 Xtortion was released by Boss in 1996 and was then abrubtly discontinued in 1998. Much like the hallmarks of the time it was released, the Xtortion was a brash and in your face distortion pedal, finished in an eye catching red with black lettering. Controls included level, contour, punch, and distortion. Can get real scooped sounding, but can also become pretty nasty and ratty sounding! Made in Taiwan, and has the silver label on the back.
