Hofner HI-459-PE-R Ignition Violin Guitar Red (Second-Hand)

Hofner's Violin Bass is without a doubt one of the most recognisable bass designs of all time, due in no small part to a member of the fab four. Less known, however, is that there exists a guitar counterpart of that instrument.

Based on the original Hofner 459, the HI-459 Ignition Violin Guitar features the same silhouette of its bass counterpart, but now with 6 strings. Featuring maple back and sides in combination with spruce top, the HI-459 boasts two humbuckers, a three-way switch, floating rosewood bridge, and vintage style tuning machines. Super lightweight, these are a tonne of fun to play and incredible unique above all else. 

Cosmetically, this example is in excellent condition with little to no wear present. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. No case included.
